Rick’s life took a dramatic turn when he was diagnosed with cone dystrophy, a condition that causes loss of central and color vision. Unemployed, but wanting to contribute, Rick came to the Chicago Lighthouse, where he landed a job as a sales and product manager. Thanks to The Chicago Lighthouse’s Employment Services Program, Rick’s job not only provides him with a paycheck, it gives him a purpose.
