UPDATE 2-Noble Energy profit beats on higher crude prices, shares rise

Noble Energy Inc on Thursday posted better-than-expected quarterly profit on improved onshore oil production and higher sales prices, sending shares of the U.S. oil and gas producer up more than 5 percent.
