UPDATE 1-Turkish lira firms against dollar ahead of U.S. pastor hearing

The lira firmed against the dollar on Friday to its strongest level since mid August, ahead of a hearing in the Turkish trial of a U.S. pastor that has strained relations between the two countries, with one U.S. media report saying a deal had been reached on his release.
