BUPA Health Insurance’s knowledge management program was an isolated administrative function until 2016, when KM appeared on the organization’s business transformation blueprint. The KM team needed to develop new ways of working in order to serve a more consultative and strategic role to the organization. This article outlines how BUPA’s KM team defined business capabilities, created a strategic roadmap, and integrated Agile methodology to rapidly increase its KM maturity and become a key partner in BUPA’s transformation.
