Chicago Police Commander Killed on Busy Downtown Block

The body of a Chicago police commander, Paul Bauer, was taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office on Tuesday in a motorcade of official vehicles. Commander Bauer was fatally shot near Chicago City Hall.
