Boston-based Locus Robotics builds autonomous warehouse robots.

The company’s new LRAN technology (Locus Robotics Advanced Navigation) allows multiple robots to work collaboratively. The robots are programmed to optimize package movement with minimal traffic. They’re also designed to work alongside humans, who scan barcodes and help load up the robots. Locus’ systems are already deployed in a number of warehouses across the country.
