Michael Pryor (Trello) on Deciding When & How To Sell Your Company | TNW Conference

Deciding When & How To Sell Your Company Michael Pryor built Trello, a project management application, while at Fog Creek, a company he also co-founded. This February, a few years after it was spun out and of Fog Creek and run as an independent company, Trello was bought by Atlassian for $425 million. This is always a bittersweet moment for any entrepreneur. In a conversation with Leo Mirani, Michael talks about how the decision was made, the pros and cons of joining a larger company, and how to keep the business running smoothly during the transition. Michael Pryor CO-FOUNDER TRELLO Michael Pryor is the co-founder of Trello, the tool that helps entrepreneurs organize their businesses and lives. He continues to run Trello as a standalone service after its acquisition by Atlassian in 2017. He also co-founded Fog Creek Software, sits on the board of Stack Exchange, and currently lives in New York with his wife and two daughters. When he's not taking care of the office saltwater aquarium, he's probably playing Kerbal Space Program.
