The Chicago Lighthouse’s 2017 Seeing What’s Possible Gala was mentioned on ABC 7’s highly rated 10 pm newscast on Friday evening, June 9. The elegant affair, which featured a red carpet premiere of an upcoming PBS profile about The Lighthouse, was emceed by the station’s award-winning reporter Leah Hope. It also saluted Lighthouse Board Member Larry Broutman and outgoing Board Chair Richard Schnadig for their outstanding service. The Gala attracted 340 supporters and raised over $350,000 for Lighthouse programs assisting people who are blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veterans.
